I love when we have a break from the norm. Since staying home, though, spring break has not been as dramatic of a change in my daily life as it was when I was teaching. However, it doesn't mean I love it any less. Paul and Isaac had a week off for spring break, but we we had a visit from Jansens the week before that so we got a little extra time away from our regular schedule which was so refreshing!
We loved having them visit and stay with us for a few days and enjoyed our time talking and watching the kids play. We felt so spoiled to get so much time with all of them. On the last night they were here, we went to the beach...not an extremely warm day to be there but still a beautiful one.
After a picnic dinner at the beach, we had dessert at Esco Gelato, a newly-opened place downtown.

It was so fun to get to watch and play with Cohen. We loved seeing his trying to give a thumbs-up which progressed from this:

Spending time with good friends is such a blessing! Thanks, Jansens, for a wonderful visit...hope to see you again this summer!
