Walker Family "Rebellion" 2013

The Walker family had its biennial family reunion in Minneapolis this past weekend. We were fortunate to still be around to be able to be part of it before heading back to CA.  We spent lots of time catching up on each other's lives, playing games, and laughing.

Friday night included dinner and games at Paul's cousin Tom's house.

Saturday included swimming at the hotel pool and an afternoon at the Walker Art Center.

Paul and Brian were asked to stay at least two feet away from the artwork as we took this picture. (We did not enjoy our visit inside the Walker Art Center since we felt as if they were watching us like hawks and waiting for us to breathe on the weird artwork.)

After a miserable time in the art center, we visited the ice cream truck.

Then we strolled through the sculpture garden--rather quickly since we were not that impressed with the sculptures either.

However, the cherry on the spoon was the highlight of our visit and worth the trip.

We finished our time there with the special artistic mini golf course.

And we rounded out our Saturday with a visit to the Mall of America where we shopped at the Lego store.

The breakfast buffet was a great way to start each morning.

Even though we only see many of these Walkers every other year, it is always a treat to spend a couple days with them.
